Budget Conscious

In these economic challenging times when everyone has to cut back and make the dollars stretch, we have to think outside the box to maintain our lifestyle as best as we can. Most women and family are on a fix income due to unemployment or whatever the case might be but they still want to look great no matter what. Looking fabulous on a dime is all about the way you shop, where you shop and the things you buy. it is putting an outfit together inexpensively and creatively to give you a great look in which you will feel sexy and confident . I will show you how you can buy an entire outfit and accessories for $20 or less in which you will look fabulous and expensive, people will think you have money when in fact you don't have it like that.

How do you look fabulous when you don't have any money?

The answer is; Buying the look for less. Creating a sense of style, by putting a few chic pieces together topping it off with some strong accessories.

Your financial resource might be very limited and you are on a tight budget but you can always look like a million on a dime, truly this can be done. Looking fabulous on a dime is all about how you make clothes shopping work for you, It's taking the little you have and turning it into a lot, it's where you get a lot of bang for your buck so to speak and it's easier than you might think.

Never buy at full price, you must have a sense of style and be able to mix and match in order to create a trendy upscale look. Everyone has certain likes and dislike and for the most part they know what fits and is flattering to heir body as well as what they feel comfortable in, use that as a starting point in creating your look and do not be afraid of coming out of your comfort zone to shake things up a bit in a classy, sexy and elegant way.

You can put together a sophisticated and sexy look by finding nice classic pieces and pairing them up, such as putting a nice top with a nice skirt that is flattering to your body, you want it to hug every curve because you want to accentuate the positive. Great styles comes in all shape and sizes whether you are a size 2 or 22, all it takes is a couple of chic pieces, using a monotone look in a shade that is flattering to you to will create an outfit that's elegant and easy to wear. An example of a nice chic monotone look is pairing a navy top with a nice dark denim jeans, this slenderizes and lengthen the body, so choose easy shapes, neutral colors, and add accessories that will give you a wow factor and you will always walk out in style whatever the occasion.

How do you Start?

Start by knowing your budget and how much money you have to play with then you will know what you can spend, this will guide you in your shopping spree and help you keep on tract as to not going over your budget.

What is your goal? Is their a particular function you are buying for or are you shopping just to shop? if you are shopping for a particular attire or items then you have narrow down the field so your focus will be putting that attire together in the most elegant way possible, and if you have any thing left over of your budget then you can find some added pieces to purchase. If you are going to shop for fun then you have a wider field because you have the full amount of your allotted budget to purchase your items, so with that in mind it is now time to decide where you want to go shopping.

Places that offer high end look on a budget

There are many high end department stores that offer great sales on quality merchandise, you have to do your homework as to where these places are and the sales they are offering. When you are shopping in Department stores look at the 50% - 75% racks first because most often you will be able to get certain items well below cost. Be aware that their are other alternative as to places you can shop even far more below cost than a department sale can ever offer and you will be able to achieve your desire goals just as well or even better. Targets and Wal-Mart stores provides style at an affordable price also for a budget conscious person but what if you need more of an affordable price, then where do you go? Some places that cater to really, really low budget that you need to be aware of are: Thrift shops, Salvation Army stores, Resale clothes and sometimes at garage sales and rummage sales. Before you look down on these places thinking that the clothes are all worn and defected please think again because I can testify as to the quality, new, designer brand clothing, shoes and accesories you can buy at these places.

I was surprise as to the quality merchandise you are able to buy and the prices are ridiculously low. Not every where you will find such finds so you have to visit more than a few locations and check out their inventory, you will find better inventory in certain area of living than others. Keep in mind that it might not be every time you go into these places that you will find exactly what you are looking for but through my experience I have found many wonderful buys in these stores, looking at my outfits you would not be able to tell where I bought them from, you would never know or be able to guess unless I told you. My little secret to you, is that I have not been in a Department store to shop in over a year and I have a closet full of new and brand names items, unique pieces that is not available in our local department stores because these items are of higher end stores, boutiques, and certain name brand fashion magazines.

If you decide to shop in any of these places mentioned above then you will definitely see what a difference it will make in your wallet as you compare your items prices to other store prices and see the big savings you have made, this will give you a sense of accomplishment and you will be happy with your purchases. My favorite among all listed above is the salvation army because they have a vast variety of clothing that is donated to them by different vendor in the fashion industry and department stores as well as private individual donors.

Low, Low Prices

I enjoy shopping at the salvation army, it is what I call my stomping ground because I feel like a kid in a candy store, on Wednesday's it's a mad dash in and through the store because of the half price sale. What makes it especially nice and fun for me is that I can find clothes to fit me, I am a big girl and as you well know we have some challenges finding the right size and style clothing outside a regular department store and even sometimes in the department stores as well. When I go there the thrill of the hunt is on to find the next perfect ensamble of clothing culminating into a fantastic million dollar look outfit, I have a blast mixing and matching outfits. I can come out of the store with a great pair of designer jeans for $2.50, Jacket between $2-3, a nice designer shirt $3 or a camisole for $1-2, a dress $ 3-5 and a pair of new, name brand shoes for $5-6, pocketbooks can be more pricey but it range from $3 to approximately $18 or more depending on the brand bag, scarfs are always $1.99 unless they have special sales then you will get them for .99 each. All articles of clothing can be found in this store and the sales of the week are represented through different color tag as specified each week by the store, on Wednesday's their entire clothing inventory is 50% off irregardless of any color tag and that's when you can rack up more than ever.

Conclusion

We are all watching our budget these days but a few versatile pieces will make a big difference in your style and keep you looking great and trendy. You cannot go wrong with a nice pair of jeans that fits you perfectly well because you can dress it up or down to fit any occasion or mood, you can create many different look using a pair of jeans as your foundation. Remember you can have that fabulous look on a budget.
