Striving for more of God's Blessings
Bless the Lord
It is God’s good pleasure to bless His children. God is always blessings us, we seek God for His blessings; God blesses us even when we are undeserving of it, what about us blessing God?
God is more than deserving of our blessing Him but yet we do it so sparingly, why is that? We should always have a praise, blessing and worship for God everyday of our lives just because He’s God. If He never did another thing for us, we should praise, bless, and worship Him.
The more we give is the more we will receive, when we hear this saying our mind automatically goes to money, not so; it is not always the case. We can bless God with our words in praise, worship, and thanksgiving unto Him, sharing of our time with Him and others, blessing others with money, help or encouragement, coming in His presence to be with Him, and hear from Him. The Law of reciprocity: What goes out comes back to you many times over.
Unlimited God
God wants to show us more of what He’s capable of but because we limit God in our thinking, He continue to bless us accordingly, it is with what measure you give so it shall be given back to you “what you sow you reap”. When we ask something of God we tend to be grateful and satisfied with just that, when God is saying expand your mindset and takes the limitation off me, allow me to be God of your entire life because I have so much more for you, and I want to give it all to you.
God cannot do more than we allow Him to do, its according to your measure of faith that you will receive your blessings, your measure can be extra small, small, medium, large, extra large, or it can be into the plus sizes, or even better yet the super plus size; in this case its good to be big. I can truly say in this case the bigger the better because all the benefits are good and has no adverse effect, this is one weight issue I will be welcoming.
I appreciate the blessings of God and do not take them lightly, but I desire greater blessings the kind that I see people in high status such as Preachers, Prophets, Apostles, and Evangelist gets. They have great faith in God and they are doing the work God calls them to do, it is their dedication, obedience, perseverance, faithfulness, humility, and commitment that allow their gifts to make room for their blessings.
A higher level of blessings comes with a higher price, the more you go into God it’s the less of you (Flesh) there will be because your life is now reflecting more of God’s character (Spirit). At this level there is no room for games, slacking off, or excuses, it is a lifestyle of being fully committed, sold out, and radical for God. Be sure to count of the cost before going there with God, to achieve this level of success that God and only God alone can give. To be blessed by God is an essential ingredient for me to have a successful and satisfying life, and as I enjoy His blessings He gets the praises, the glory and the honor.
Being Processed
Writing this hub I discover an epiphany I can actually challenge God according to who he said He is, and in my thinking I can think bigger, believe bigger, and receive bigger without feeling guilty, unworthy, or having any form, or glimmer of doubt. Today I realized that my thoughts is expanding, and widening because I find myself believing for things of a greater magnitude, my appetite is changing as God open up my vision and allow me a glimpse into my future, as to the greater plans He has for me.
My faith in God’s ability is being developed daily as I go through the process of refinement, I am learning that the Lord prepares us step by step for the super large blessing by first giving us small, medium, and large blessings; not exactly what I asked for but close enough in order to continually test my faithfulness, obedience, and to see if I will remain committed to the vision.
This time of testing is not for God but it’s for me because God already knows the outcome, but He wants me to know it for myself, as I see myself developing and changing I see my level of faith increasing and becoming stronger through my experiences with the Lord. The word of God said that “if you be faithful over a few things He would make you ruler over many things” that is why our flesh has to be crucified daily in order for the Holy Spirit to be more present in us, because it’s the spirit of God that will do the miraculous through us and He does not dwell in unclean temples.
Have you ever prayed for something and God gives you something that does not look like what you have asked for? What was your response to it? Well I will tell you that I had a hard time with this because I couldn’t understand what was happening to me, I kept saying this is not how I know God to be, but indeed it is God. The beauty of God is that He provides clarification as you continue to walk with Him, and press forward into Him. Although I do not fully understand God’s ways, I have decided that the details is not my business but it’s God; my responsibility is just to trust Him, and with this the burden becomes lighter everyday and I am able to rest in Him more.
This is a test, only a test; if you keep this in mind then everything else will line up, will you still trust God if He gives you something different than you were expecting? Will you accept less, be comfortable and still give him your best 24/7? That is what God is asking and He wants us to prove it. God wants to know that he can trust us with the small stuff before he lavish the super stuff on us,
What does it really mean to be blessed?
To be blessed means that you were sanctified and made holy through the blood of Jesus Christ, and because of this you are made worthy of His blessings (Benefits), you are favored by God, what is favor? This is God’s gracious kindness being freely given to you.
People, Christian in particularly use this word so frivolously without really thinking about the depth of its meaning, they use it in passing, for example when you sneeze the response would be God bless you or Bless you (what they are saying is in essence may god sanctify you through Jesus Christ, and He can’t do this unless that person make that request of Him themselves). Another is how are you? The response is I am blessed and highly favored in the Lord, (not everyone is blessed, it depends on your relationship with the Lord) or I am blessed to be a blessing (if you are bless, are you releasing it to others by displaying kindness to everyone). there is nothing wrong with these statements, just be aware of the meaning of what you are saying, yes its good to know you are blessed and thank God for His blessings, but I want us to take it a step further and challenge yourself in God by blessing Him.

Stop right here right now and have a one on one with God, just open up your mouth and begin to bless God with your whole heart for His mighty works, it will surprise and amaze you, how much the anointing will begin to flow and whatever you have in your heart believing God for, you will get a break through today.
Right now I feel the need to praise and bless God so I am taking this opportunity to bless my God.
Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times: and your praises shall continually be in my mouth, Psalm 7:17 I will praise the lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high. Psalm 8:1 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who has set thy glory above the heavens. I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 149:6, Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two- edged sword in their hand. Psalm 147: 5, Great is our lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Psalm 146:1-2, Praise ye the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul. While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Psalm 144:1, Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. Psalm 145:3, Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. Psalm 139:14, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works; and my soul knoweth right well. Psalm 135:3,5 Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant. For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Psalm 119:171, my lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy status. Psalm 107:21, O that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 150:1, 6, Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Let every thing that has breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Amen!
The power of God is awesome; I am refreshed, revived, and rejuvenated in the Spirit of God, how about you?
There is a difference between praise, thanks, and worship. Praise is blessing God for His works, thanks is giving thanks for what he has done for you, and worship is acknowledging God for who He is to you. These combinations are all form of blessing God and it can be done individually or all together, it’s your choice, but to single one out and dedicate time to that one form is really concentration on God.
When I bless God I am concentrating on His mighty works that he has done, and how Great He his, I am focusing on specific things in blessing and honoring Him. By allocating a set period of time to concentrate on God I find it brings me into a more focused state, increase my intimacy with Him, strengthen my relationship with Him, and gives me a clearer understanding of who and what God is all about.
